On 13 October the Dutch Safety Board published its report on the Malaysia airlines MH17 flight that crashed in the East of Ukraine in July 2014. The report concluded that a Buk surface-to-air missile was detonated on the left hand side of the cockpit, causing thousands of metal pieces to penetrate the plane, leading to its crash. According to the Dutch the BUK missile was Russian made. Russia, the separatist self-proclaimed Donesk Republic and BUK manufacturer Almaz-Antey deny any responsibility.
